“I have found that Portage Trail East Apartments are absolutely a wonderful place to live. I have lived here for two years and am currently signing up for a third year. I am attending the University of Akron where I am pursuing a doctorate degree in Audiology. Portage Trail East Apartments is by far the best apartment I have ever rented. It has very nice, large and modern one and two bedroom apartments. The grounds and building are always clean, well kept, and safe. I cannot say enough about the staff here. They are friendly and efficient in helping the residents with any problems they have. The residents themselves are all friendly, honest, and respectful. It is the perfect location for the more mature student that is looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to reside while they complete their studies. It is located in an ideal location with Route 8 being seconds away and the University of Akron being 10 minutes away and Kent about 15 minutes. In this location you are also just minutes away from Chapel Hill Mall, tons of restaurants, and downtown Cuyahoga Falls is within walking distance. I would strongly encourage any fellow student that is looking for the things I discussed above to come check out these apartments. I love living here and am definitely glad I found this great place to live. I honestly can say that I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It is quiet, clean and safe. “My first impression of Portage Trail Apartments was how immaculate and attractive the common areas were and how incredibly helpful and friendly the staff was. Next, I was amazed by the size of the apartments and thrilled by the spectacular view the large windows and balcony afforded. That Portage Trail Apartments offers an on-site laundry, a game room, and a place to cook and serve meals to a large group only added to its appeal. What absolutely amazed me, however, was the fact that this place also offers an exercise room, a swimming pool, a sauna, and an underground parking garage with carwashing facilities. As if these amenities weren't already enough, three days a week hot meals are served for a nominal price and a few times a year building-wide events are held to bring all the neighbors together. As unbelievable as this place already sounds, what tops it all is the wonderfully personal touch that Peggy, the building manager, brings to Portage Trail Apartments. Not only is she friendly, funny, and always willing to lend an ear, she goes the extra mile to make sure each and every one of us feels welcome and at home. “I am writing to say that Portage Trail East is a very nice place to live. I am into my eleventh year here, and I have been very happy and safe, also. I can go out of the apartment anytime of the day or late evening, go out the basement or lobby and not be afraid. I have even forgotten to lock my door at night a few times. At least you won’t have to worry about someone prowling around the building. I have told people I probably will be here until they take me out feet or head first!” R.H.
